Helloooooooooo. I am so excited to share with you my top beauty favorites of the year. I always like to read monthly favorites and roundups. They’re like a monthly review of your beauty favorites and I also get to know what’s new on the market. I find these very helpful and inspiring.
Writing this post gives me chills. I can’t believe another year goes by and I also can’t believe it is my second Christmas in California. I really hope this year is better. Last year was kind of sad and lonely. By this time last year, I was moving to California, starting a new job and had no friends. I was missing my family and had nowhere to spend Christmas. But anyway, 2017 was a good one, full of emotions, growth and new beginnings. So, I am very excited for the new years and for the new goals to tackle.
I really love round-up posts in general, whether they’re monthly round-up posts, beauty round-up posts or anything personal. Just call me nosy AF. I know, sorry. So, this year I am very excited to write my own and share with you guys some of the most important dates and accomplishments of this year. I’ll divide it by months, only the relevant ones, and will mention what happened, did or accomplished during that month.
My skin has battled dryness, texture and fine lines for a long time and between weather changes and not drinking enough water, it has gone worse. This year, I decided to make my top priority taking care of my skin. I wanted a healthy and hydrated skin for a beautiful long-lasting makeup application. For that, I changed my skincare products and established a skincare routine. On this post, I’ll share my skincare favorites of this year. The ones that helped me improve my skin’s texture and appearance.
Hey, Dolls! On last week’s post, I talked about how to shop for beauty products and I also included a holiday shopping list. As of today, I wanted to write or share with you my holiday shopping list. Some of them are included in my gift guide, so you already know, and if you don’t make sure to download it for free. There are some great deals too, so grab a snack and continue reading.
Hey Dolls. Today I want to share with you a very nice quality, affordable brush set that I recently bought. I was on the hunt for the perfect brush set that I could recommend to beginners, Pro’s and anyone on a budget. I bought the Bh Cosmetics Crystal Quartz 12 Piece Brush Set. I picked it up because It was the only affordable brush set that I noticed had face brushes and eye brushes. So basically, you can do your whole makeup with this set. I have a previous brush set from this brand and I really like it, so I thought this one might be good too.
Bronze Smokey eye FT. Jacklyn Hill Palette
Hey dolls! I am obsessed with smokey eyes, if you haven’t noticed, and I decided to create a warm, brown smokey eye using the Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette. It is very easy and fast to create. It is also perfect for fall but you can use it any time of the year. Scroll down for more pictures, product details and the video tutorial on this look is going to be at the bottom of the post. Hope you enjoy and leave me any suggestions for future looks.
A lot of bloggers swear by monthly goals. They jot down a few things they want to get done by the end of the month. Mark them off as they go and for the next month, they jot down new ones. Although it works for the majority and helps to keep you on track, make great use of your time, and stay organize, monthly goals were just not working for me. I manage to accomplish more without goals, deadlines or a to-do list.
