The key to a long-lasting and beautiful makeup, aside from a good skincare regimen, is a good primer. A primer will work as a base for your foundation making it last longer. Now, I know it can sometimes be confusing to pick the right one, so today I’ll explain in depth the different kinds of primers and how you can pick the right one for you.
A few months ago I came across a guest post, “Estilo de vida y no moda”, by Marii Nieves on the blog Colorful Disaster. She talked about women empowerment and how women should lift each other, not bring each other down. I could not agree more with her and after wanting to write my thoughts and opinions on this topic, I finally decided to express myself.
I don’t know about you, but I always carry a shit ton of stuff in my purse, plus 3 more makeup pouches to keep adding stuff. The thing is, you never know what you’re going to need once you are on the road. With all jokes aside, I do think there are a few things you should always carry with your purse.
On my previous post, Best of April, I mentioned that I was invited to be part of Raw San Diego presents Magnify. A showcase in which artists of any kind present their work. Well, It finally happened and today I’ll share in detail how the event went, my participation and what I learned from it. Grab a snack.
Hey loves. Today I decided to recreate one of the looks I did for one of my models for the Raw San Diego showcase in April. I did this same blue makeup, but the glitter was underneath the eye from the outer corner to the inner corner. This time, I decided to do the glitter in the inner corner and I also used a different type glitter. I’m obsessed with this look. The glitter takes the look to a whole nother level and I love it. I hope you guys like it
April has been INSANE. From magazine features to showcase invitations, hitting 1K on Instagram and 1.5K on my Facebook page. So much has happened in a month that to this day, I still can’t believe it. I am blown away by the opportunities that have come my way, the doors that have opened and things I have learned along this journey. April has been a month of changes, challenges, lessons, self-doubt, anxiety, stress, frustration, but most of all, it has been fun, exciting and I have learned and grown as a person, artist, blogger, and creator.
Hey, Dolls! For today’s look, I went for a purple mauve. I wanted to play around with the Dream st. palette by Kathleen Lights and this is what I came up with. I absolutely love the shimmer shades from this palette, they are very pigmented, creamy and easy to work with. If you have this palette show me some looks you’ve created.
Hey, Dolls. For today’s look, I wanted to create a bronzed eye look and add a pop of color. I tested The Nubian by Juvias Place and mixed it with the Urban Decay Full Spectrum palette. I absolutely loved how this tuned out and is actually one of my favorite looks so far. If you want to see how I created this look there’s a video below.
Hey, Dolls! I have been wanting to play with colors for the longest time, I just didn’t have some blendable, bold, pigmented colors or palette. I have been eyeing this Morphe 25B palette for a while now. It has been on the market for a very long time, but before I wasn’t interested or attracted to it. You know how time changes and we do too, so recently I have been wanting to play more with colors and glitter. Since spring was coming up I decided to go for a bright pink smokey eye and leave the warm tones aside for a while. I ended up loving the look and I’ll definitely try out some more. Let me know what you guys think.
